The item in question is both more an less than the expected as it's simultaneously
missing one thing but has a very special something else added. To explain:
The Mountains Among Us LP was co-issued by Beta-Lactam Ring and Volucan and was
limited to 150 copies. The BLR ones were housed in an over-sized pizza box with an
attached paper mache volcano. The Volucan ones didn't have the volcano box but came
instead with an additional 45 copy CDR compilation called Voleven (featuring exclusive tracks
from Volcano The Bear, Songs Of Norway and El Monte) . So, to the copy at hand. I got it in
trade from Mcbeth at Beta-Lactam Ring when VDO were signed to his label and he in turn had
a few spare copies of the Voleven CDR, which he included with his handful of trade copies of
the BLR boxset version. This was one of those. So it's housed in the BLR box and has the
additional 45 copy CDR, *but* this copy was quickly raced out of the path of Hurricane Katrina
(as were all my records) and managed to lose the attached volcano (never to be found, alas) in
the process, as can be seen in the photo. If anyone wants it for the $90 reserve I placed
on it, it's theirs.
